Evans Hill Area

Reader Bill Carney has more pictures from the Evans Hill Area in Indiana County - mound and rock structures. On the other side of the mound - is the spot where we got tossed out - none too politely. The rockpile in the foreground - looks like a maintou stone lining up to the rockpile in the distance that also looks like it has a manitou stone.
This area also contains grinding stones, more rockpiles and a rock shelter besides some points found in the surrounding fields. The biggest danger to this whole area though - is from the nearby strip mine. I can't wait to head back out here exploring. It absolutely fascinates me! Bill also sent in a couple of pictures to rockpiles.blogspot.com and CLICK HERE to read that post.
